Formed in 1991 by Steven Seibold, Hate Dept. has dealt in punk-infused electronic rock across five full-length releases, many of which became standard fare for the industrial rock movement. The group releases albums and performs music in the same vein as Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy andThe Prodigy. Formed partially out of distaste for the low energy of an average electronic music performance, Hate Dept.’s live shows became the stuff of legend, their on-stage antagonism and ruthless energy making them a staple live show experience. "Meat.Your.Maker" on 21st Circuitry in 1994, "Mainline" (Neurotic Records, 1995), "Omnipresent" (Neurotic Records 1996). Also in 1996, Hate Dept met 16 Volt on the “Remix Wars - Strike 3” EP. Seibold joined Pigface in 2001, touring and recording with Martin Atkins in several projects, including releasing “Ditch” on Martin Atkin’s Underground inc. Record Label in 2003. Supporting their “New Ghost” album and e.p. trilogy, we welcome HATE DEPT. to STIMULATE for the 1st Time - ONLY AREA APPEARANCE!

formed in 1988, 16 Volt is the Brainchild of Eric Powell combining the two main thrusts of '90s industrial music -- electronics and guitars. After working with Skinny Puppy's Dave Ogilvie on production, 16 Volt released their debut album, “Wisdom” in 1993. “Skin” followed in 1994, after which the project met Hate Dept. on the “Remix Wars - Strike 3” EP in 1996. 16 Volt's third album, “LetDownCrush”, signaled the end of Powell's relationship with Re-constriction Records; “Super Cool Nothing”, issued in 1998, appeared on the Slipdisc imprint of Mercury/Polygram. “Demography” appeared in fall 2000, “FullBlackHabit” in 2007 and “American Porn Songs” in 2009. Last seen at STIMULATE on their successful National Tour with MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT (Official) in 2011 supporting “Beating Dead Horses”, we are excited to have them back to support their new album “Dead on Arrivals” in 2017!
